Lindsey Baldwin

Lindsey Baldwin, a former Research Assistant for the Institute, holds a M.A. degree from the Graduate School of Political Management and a B.S. in
Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Previously, Lindsey worked as the Immigration Coordinator for Epic Systems Corporation in Madison,
Wisconsin and held an internship with the Brown County Executive's Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She has also worked with several campaigns, including Russ Feingold's
2004 Senate re-election campaign. Lindsey is currently employed through Lockheed Martin at the Government Accountability Office, and attends Georgetown University Law Center.

Allison Block

Allison is a recent graduate of the George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management, where she completed her thesis on increasing women's
presence in the Turkish Parliament and participated in a summer program in European Lobbying at the College of Europe in Belgium. She received her BA in Journalism
from Drake University. Prior to completing her studies at George Washington, she studied at Bilgi Universitesi in Istanbul and also worked as a researcher and writer for
the Turkish Embassy in Washington, DC. She has extensive experience on political campaigns, ranging from gubernatorial to presidential, and has worked as a journalist in
the Czech Republic. She served as Director of Programs and Publications at the Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA), and is currently Program Officer at the
Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD).

Lanny Cardow

Lanny Cardow, a former Research Assistant for the Institute, is a Masters student at the Graduate School of Political Management. After completing his undergraduate degree at Queen's University (Ontario, Canada) in 2002, Lanny served a one year term as VP (operations) of the Queen's University student government. Lanny then moved to Ottawa to work for Stephen Harper, the opposition leader in the Canadian House of Commons, where he managed outreach operations. A native of Guelph, Ontario, Lanny was first introduced to politics by working for his local member of provincial parliament. Lanny also spent his 2005-06 winter in Canada working for the Conservative Party in the Canadian Parliamentary elections.

Julie Chung

Julie Chung is a Masters student at the Graduate School of Political Management. Born and raised in the Republic of China ( Taiwan ), she has a very strong Chinese identify, culturally and politically. After graduating from National Cheng-Chi University in Taiwan , with a bachelor degree in Turkish Language and Literature, she worked as a public relations consultant and lobbyist, whose clients were the tobacco industry and Kuomintang. She has always been closely involved in political campaigns and interested in international political issues.
Previously, she received her Masters degree in Communication from the University of Maryland , College Park , with research interests in public relations, activism, crisis/risk communication, health communication, and lobbying. She is hoping to research on lobbying, issue management, activism, and related topics here at GSPM.

Peter Churchill

Peter Churchill is a Research Assistant for the Institute and a Masters student at the Graduate School of Political Management. After completing a politics degree at the University of York in England in 1995, Peter pursued a career in IT consulting, specializing in the implementation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions. Working for KPMG Consulting in London, Peter spent several years assisting companies such as Microsoft, GE and Reed Elsevier to implement new CRM systems, enabling them to fully utilize the leading CRM and Internet technologies available to better mange their businesses. Peter then worked for a subsidiary of the American Express Group in London for 3 years as their senior CRM analyst, before moving here to DC to pursue his Masters degree, where he hopes to be able to bring his knowledge of contact management solutions to the world of political management. Peter is the Conference Manager for the Politics Online Conference 2006.

After graduating from McGill University, Canada, in December 2001, Laetitia moved to Paris, France, where she worked in Media Relations for Disneyland Resort Paris. She later worked as an Executive Assistant for Universal Music's Corporate Sponsorship Department. Laetitia will receive her Masters degree from the Graduate School of Political Management in December 2004, and is currently an intern at American Continental Group, a Government Relations firm.

Kathleen Legg

Kathie Legg was a Research Assistant for the Institute and is currently a Masters student at the Graduate School of Political Management. She is a recent graduate from the State University of New York at Albany with a degree in Political Science and Information Science and Policy. During her time in Albany, she was a research assistant for the Center for Policy Research. Kathie’s political beginnings stem from a 4-year internship with her hometown (Binghamton, NY) New York State Senator and an internship with a Member of Parliament in the British House of Commons.

Strategies Manager for Planned Parenthood. Christy received her B.A. from the best basketball school in the nation, UCLA, and her M.A. from GWU in Political Management

Zachary Morgan

Zachary Morgan is work study at the Institute for Politics, Democracy, and the Internet and is currently a freshman at the George Washington University . A political junkie since he read Dan Gutman's The Kid Who Ran For President in second grade, Zac intends to major in political science at GW, and possibly minor in American history. Zac has also participated in the Model United Nations program as a delegate with the internationally renowed Huntington Beach High School MUN. Zac is a proponent of using online, multiplayer political simulations as educational tools into how politics function in real application.

John B. Neurohr, Jr.
John Neurohr, Jr. is a Research Assistant at the Institute of Politics, Democracy and the Internet and is currently completing a Masters in Political Management at the Graduate School of Political Management in Washington DC as a University Fellow. He graduated from Ithaca College as a leadership scholar with a degree in Television-Radio, focusing on the study of mass media, politics and speech communication. He also served as a teaching assistant at Ithaca College for speech communication and U.S. politics. Prior to coming to IPDI, he worked as a communications intern at the Center for American Progress. John has also published articles in numerous publications including Turn Left (Cornell University), The Michigan Independent (University of Michigan), Buzzsaw Haircut (Ithaca College), and The Patriot-News (Harrisburg, PA) (2005).

Gautam Raghavan

Gautam Raghavan was a Research Assistant for the Institute in Fall 2004. Hailing from Seattle, WA, Gautam has campaigned with Generation Dean in
Northern California and Alben for Congress in WA-8, and is currently the Mid-Atlantic Deputy Finance Director for the Democratic National Committee.
Gautam received his B.A. from Stanford in the Program in Science, Technology, and Society in 2004 and his M.A. from GWU in Political Management in 2006.

Brandon Robinson

Although he lived in Virginia for the majority of his life, Brandon claims North Carolina as his home. Following graduation from Mary Washington College in May 2002, Brandon began his political career as a Field Director in the congressional campaign of Ben "Cooter" Jones, of Dukes of Hazard fame. After the campaign, he worked as a Research Fellow at the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center and as an Associate with Conklin Scott. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree at the Graduate School of Political Management.

Nicholas Stark, a former research assistant for the institute, has straddled the professional and academic worlds of politics. Following graduation from
Hamilton College, Stark moved to Washington, DC and the center of professional politics and enrolled in and thereafter graduated from the George Washington
University Graduate School of Political Management. Concurrently, Stark volunteered at the DNC and the Mark Warner for Governor campaign in Virginia. He also
worked at polling firms, and as a paralegal at a law firm, a brief hiatus from politics. In 2005, Stark began graduate studies in political science at Penn State,
where he hopes to receive his Doctorate (down the road) and rigorously study American politics.

He recently graduated from University College London with a degree in History and East European Politics. For the past seven years he has been actively involved in organizing field operations for borough, county and parliamentary candidates in the United Kingdom .

A 2001 graduate of the University of Nebraska, Glen is currently working towards a Master's Degree in International Trade and Investment Policy at the Elliott School of International Affairs of The George Washington University.

Shortly after graduating from Connecticut College in 2001 with a B.A. in government, Kevin returned to the Washington area to be more involved in politics. Kevin recently received his Masters degree from the Graduate School of Political Management in May, 2004.

Diana Xiong is from Beijing, China, where she worked as an interpreter at the Foreign Affairs Department of the Beijing Broadcasting Institute. Prior to coming to the United States, she was a director and reporter at World Economy Report for China’s Central Television. Diana Xiong recently received her Masters degree from the Graduate School of Political Management.

Matthew Zablud

Matthew Zablud is a Political Consultant and Campaign Manager currently completing a Masters of Political Management at The George Washington University in Washington DC. He previously practiced as a Commercial Litigation Lawyer in Melbourne, Australia for Tress Cocks and Maddox Lawyers before becoming a Political Advisor to the Victorian Shadow Minister for Community Services and Housing. Zablud is the Executive Director of the Australian Liberal Friends of Israel and was the Conference Manager for the highly successful 2004 Politics Online Conference in Washington DC. Zablud has worked on numerous political campaigns in Australia and the United States for almost 10 years including managing a victorious re-election race in the Victorian State electorate of Caulfield in 2002, coordinating early voting and election day legal teams in Miami-Dade County for the Florida Republican Party in 2004 and working on the e-Campaign at the national headquarters of the Bush-Cheney’04 Presidential Campaign. Zablud was the Conference Manager for the 2005 Politics Online Conference.
